Standby and Talk Times
| Standby and Talk Times -
Don't believe everything you read on the Internet! We often see our competitors
claim many times the standby you might expect to get. Standby times are
always difficult to estimate. Standby time and talk time can vary because
of what type of phone you have, phone features used, network conditions, geography, strength of signal, your service provider, etc. Our estimates for standby and talk time are very conservative.
We work to under-promise and over-deliver by bringing you the best cell
phone batteries on the market at the lowest prices guaranteed. |
|
| Standby and
Talk Times are also affected by a number of variables such as Digital vs. Analog,
NiMH vs. Li-ION, Model and Age of Phone, Temperature, and Humidity. Standby and Talk
Times are determined industry wide by a mathematical equation and can
vary plus or minus by as much as 40% depending on the factors mentioned
above. |
| |
| Not all
phone models are built alike. Some phone models, such as the Nokia 5100/6100
series, will get twice as much standby time as listed on the chart below.
Your phone model will get at least as much standby and talk time as is
listed below. |
| |
| Analog vs. Digital Phones -
Analog phones
can use up to 2 times more power than Digital phones. Some newer phones
automatically switch between Analog and Digital signals. Standby and Talk
Time will vary greatly for these phones depending on the amount of time
each signal is utilized. |
| |
| NiMH vs. Li-Ion Batteries -Li-Ion
batteries will typically provide 30% - 40% more Standby and Talk Time
than NiMH batteries of the same capacity (measured in mAh - mili-amp-hours).
|
| |
| Note: mAh – stands
for "milli Amp hours" and is the measurement of a battery’s
storage capacity. |
